With Daylight Savings Time making us lose an hour this weekend, we are all a little tired. Well at least I am… Anyways today marks the 13th celebration of International Napping Day! Didn’t know it existed? Now you do! There’s still time to get a nap in today. In 1999, Boston University professor William Anthony, Ph.D., and his wife, Camille Anthony, created National Napping Day in an effort to spotlight the health benefits of catching up on quality zzz’s, like improved performance and mood. “We chose this particular Monday because Americans are more ‘nap-ready’ than usual after losing an hour of sleep to daylight saving time,” Anthony said in a statement. (huffington post) Get out there and find a great spot to take a nap, after all its a tradition!
