Today is such a sad day in the music industry, another music legend passes away. MCA or Adam Yauch passed away today at 47, after his long battle with cancer. I am very saddened by this today, I remember going to see the Beastie Boys live when I was 14 and it was one of thee best concerts I’ve ever been to. The energy they put out is ridiculous. Plus their music is just feel good, fun music.
MCA co-founded Beastie Boys in 1979 with Mike D, and Ad Rock. They went on to turn out some of the most iconic albums in hip-hop, including License to Ill, Paul’s Boutique, Check Your Head and Ill Communication. Together the group has won multiple Grammy Award’s and was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year.
Yauch is survived by his wife and his daughter he was 47. His music will help his memory to always live on in the rock n roll and hip hop community.
